Grass management

We have various grass cutting equipment suitable for a range of different requirements.

We can undertake all general hedge cutting services. We use a tread pattern on our vehicles that has low impact to glassland and field edges.

Direct drilling

With our Vredo overseeder we can seed straight onto damaged or sparse areas. Suitable for agricultural, equine, sports and Parkland environments.

Mini digger & driver hire

Our 1.7 tonne jcb is just the right size for all the awkwad little jobs around the farm, smallholding, equine centre, etc.

With our PTO water pump we can quickly and efficiantly pump out water troughs, rain water tanks, ponds, etc.

Towing and Transport

We can look at different transport options for you but within a 50mile radius of Gillingham Dorset we can help with almost all transport needs.

Car and trailer £3 per mile (round trip) Tractor and low loader £5 per mile (round trip). £20 per hour for loading, unloading and waiting.

About A&A

Mr and Mrs Martin always struggled to get Local Farm contractors to do all the routine jobs required on their small holding. They felt that the typical agricultural contractor only wanted to focus on larger scale farming jobs or at least postponed their smaller jobs until all the contractor’s larger scale work was complete. This is where the idea for A&A Contractors came from. A specialist contractor that focused on supporting smaller scale land owners in Dorset/Somerset and Wiltshire.

What area do we work in? We cover approximately a 50mile radius of Gillingham Dorset.

What type of clients do we work for? We are an agricultural contractor that specialises in small holdings, various equestrian establishments, large scale domestic properties as well as general agricultural grass land and harvest hauling/help/cover.

When do we work? Typically we are only open on week days if that doesn’t work for you by all means ask and we’ll see what we can do.

How does it work? We price jobs simply by combining the milage/distance and the hours/Acreage/units. For example 30miles at £1.50 per mile and 3 acres of grass topping at £55 p/a = £210 (prices true at the time of writing).

Do you charge Vat? Yes, we are a vat registered business.
